Immortal Achievement in Plants vs Zombies

Plants vs. ZombiesImage via Wikipedia

Trying your best to "survive 20 waves of pure zombie ferocity" to win the Immortal Achievement in Popcap Games' Plants vs Zombies? If  you're aiming for this achievement then it only means you are already familiar with all types of zombies. If not, check the Zombie Index here.

You have to remember that the zombie you have to worry about here is the Gargantuar which is the one that needs heavy damage before it is destroyed, usually with 2 explosive plants or 2 jumping squashes.

Then follow these tips carefully...

First of all, make sure that you already bought the following plants from Crazy Dave's shop:

1. Twin Sunflower (requires to be planted on Sunflower)---this is handy in earning plenty of suns which you will need to buy more plants.

2. Cob Canon (requires to be planted on 2 side-by-side kernel pults)---very effective in killing dozens of zombies especially those hard-to-kill Gargantuars although this plant reloads very slowly. But PLANT THESE ONLY ON LILYPADS (ON THE SWIMMING POOL) so that the Gargantuars can't destroy them.

3. Cattails (requires to be planted on Lilypads)---very useful in shooting balloon zombies and attacks in every direction.

4.  Spikerock (requires to be planted on Spikeweed)---destroys all zombies on vehicles and very effective in slowing down Gargantuars, they'll keep on hitting the Spikerock which withstands many blows and while these zombies are busy doing that they will be further slowed down by...

5. Winter Melons (requires to be planted n Melon Pults)---these slow down groups of zombies on 2 rows and causes heavy damage.

Second, PROTECT your expensive plants as these cost suns and you might not have time to replant them with the wave of zombies attacking. Remember to plant them ahead, anticipating which zombies will appear in the next round. So better to have these plants too:

1. Pumpkin---Plant these on your Magnetshrooms, Cattails and Tallnuts, plants that are usually near the entry line of zombies

2. Umbrella Leaf---Plant these near your Cob Cannons and Winter Melons so those Bungee Zombies can't steal them.

So here's a webshot of my plants on my 12th flag so you'll get an idea:

So go ahead and play Plants vs Zombies!
